institution has exceeded the $100,000 limit for deposit insurance
coverage.
The
Federal Financial Institutions
Examination Council (FFIEC) is a formal interagency body
empowered to prescribe uniform principles, standards and report forms
for the examination and supervision of financial institutions by federal
regulators, including the Federal Reserve System (FRB), the Federal
Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the National Credit Union
Administration (NCUA), the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC)

The Federal Home Loan Bank
System, overseen by the Federal
Housing Finance Board, acts as a central credit system for
savings banks and savings and loan institutions. The twelve district
Home Loan Banks make short-term credit advances to depository

The
Financial Crimes Enforcement
